Site Engineer
Description
Site Engineer - Construction/Nuclear - Cumbria - Fantastic salary plus package - Subsistence, Car or Car Allowance, Laptop, Mobile Phone, Holidays, Healthcare, Pension.
My client is a multinational civil engineering contractor operating within an array of sectors including highways, rail, sea defense, nuclear and waste. The package of work is operating on Sellafield site. The works comprise of M&E, steam and water distribution and structures.
Site Engineer main responsibilities
* Onsite duties will include accurate implementation of all engineering controls and compliance with the contract drawings and specification
* Day to day surveying and setting out
* Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded
* Interpretation of risk assessments and method statements for safe execution of the works
* Ensure work is executed in a safe manner
* Promote high health and safety standards across the site
* Manage resources to ensure work is completed to site goals and systems requirements
* Liaise with site manager on any daily/weekly issues
Skills and experience required of a Site Engineer
* Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent)
* CSCS card
* Construction experience preferably in new build, thick slip form concrete . Other sectors will be considered also
* Able to set out site accurately
* Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
* Excellent communication and people and team management skills
