This lovely chair is "the genuine article" and NOT a repro job. It is DEFINATELY "country furniture" We have loved this chair for many years and main picture in our ancient Dales cottage. We have downsized and regrettably it must go.
When we bought it we were assured it was of excellent manufacturer and from a Dales farmhouse. It might be pre-Victoria and think it's a one piece seat base and perhaps a one piece middle centre rail, possibly Ash, steam bent ?
As pensioners, we know nothing about antiques but think we have priced this chair fairly. If we have robbed ourselves, you might consider paying us the correct figure ?
