Description
Gaming PC built by myself. Can be used either as a kit or is ready to plug and play. It has got no tower(!), as a PC enthusiast I considered the tower to be the least important and unfortunately never got to get one.
This one year old system is well chosen for easy further extension for higher performance. You can easily add second graphics card of the same kind to get 185% of rendering performance. CPU can be upgraded to 8-core i7 if you are a hardcore user, but the current 4-core i5 is fully sufficient for any game you can currently get (and for a few years on).
- Motherboard: ATX MSI Z87-G45 for Intel Haswell (LGA 1150 socket) and up to 3-way nVidia SLI (grey/red)
- CPU: Intel Haswell i5 4-core 3.5 GHz
- RAM: HyperX Fury DDR3 2x4GB CL10 white 1866 MHz DIMM
- HDD1: Seagate 7200 RPM, 500 GB
- HDD2: Some old one, but usable 200 GB
- PSU: Corsair CX750M (750W, suitable for 2 new graphics cards)
- Corsair water cooling for CPU
- OS: Genuine Windows 10
- Graphics: nVidia GTX 560Ti
Although the graphics card can run most of current games at reasonable frame rates and details, I personally don't think it will keep up for long, so you should be prepared to get a new one within a year. In fact I waa originally running two of these graphics card in SLI which was great. It could run CSGO at 400-600 FPS on full details and resolution. One of my 560Ti's recently died through, that's why the build only comes with one. You I can still get CSGO to almost 300 FPS through. My other favorite games Payday 2 and Rust run smoothly as well.
Original price of all these components was roughly £700.
The package includes:
- 2-way SLI bridge
- quality thermal paste + purification kit when the time comes to get a new CPU or water cooling for your GPUs
- additional cables for the PSU
Can add a monitor for £20.
I really wanted to get this system to the edge of performance by purchasing an SSD and two new nVidia cards, for example two of the new GTX 1060 in SLI would kill any game you can get at max details full HD for a few years on. RAM is fine for any current game and can be easily extended too. But unfortunately I need a Mac for my work, so I have to sell this one. It's the ultimate bargain for this price indeed.
I have mentioned where I would go next with my system, but if you are unsure or new to PC building, I will be happy to give you my advice on anything related, e.g. what tower to choose if you want one and how to fit all the stuff in it.
Swap for a Mac book is possible, I'm open to offers.
