Exciting opportunity at the Potting Shed Tearoom for an experienced kitchen assistant/sous chef. We are a new business situated in the heart of the Insole Court Mansion in Llandaff.
You will be asked to work alongside a head chef to produce delicious homemade food using high quality local produce. You will provide light lunches and homemade daily specials. You will be required to work independently as well as as part of a team. We are looking for:
* An experienced and well trained catering professional who is ambitious and enthusiastic.
* An ability to produce fresh, healthy breakfasts and lunches that will showcase your skills in food preparation and presentation.
* The ability to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen
* A knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations.
You must have:
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* A clean and ordered approach to the workplace with a thorough understanding of flawless food hygiene standards
* A calm and level head approach and an ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Be available to work flexible hours including weekends (A MUST)
* Most importantly, a passion about good quality food, a friendly personality, sense of humour and the desire to work within a small happy team.
